Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. He is a mixed-race child of Manny James as well as Patty James. His father is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. In 2010 James graduated from Sanderson High School. Then, he went to Wake Forest University in order to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sciences in Economics. James gained fame when his role as a reality TV star in The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked to become the season's 25th bachelor on The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show premiered on the 20th of January in. James was the ideal choice for the role, because he's well-rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krukconnell was James's love interest towards the conclusion of the season.
